Event Report: Empower Women Through Fitness by Tomo Okabe

8月5日、WE Int.（ウィー・イント）は東京大学本郷キャンパス御殿下記念館にて、「Empower Women Through Fitness」と題した、女性限定のフィットネスイベントを開催しました。ゲストとして招いたのは、テレビでも有名な起業家、そして「美尻トレーナー」の岡部友さんです。「外見がキレイになるのはおまけ」と自身の著書『筋トレが折れない私をつくる』で語る岡部さんは、「運動を通じて心を鍛える」というフィロソフィーで、多くの女性に自信と強さを与えて来ました。イベントは岡部さんのプレゼンテーションで始まりました。「トレーニングをすると、ボディラインが崩れてしまう」「前ももが張る」など、女性が抱く心配に対し、岡部さんは「脂肪をどこにつけるかはコントロールできないが、筋肉をどうつけるかはコントロールできる」と説明します。この、「コントロールできる部分のみに全力を注ぐ」という考え方が、岡部さんの信念なのです。「運動は自分を認めるところから始める」遺伝の関係で、人間の体は運動で変えられる部分が40%しかありません。運動を始めるきっかけは、
